The second race weekend of the Hankook RCM Cup has just started, and the teams are once again camped on the Hungaroring, just like a week ago. However this is the only similarity compared to our last outing on the Hungarian track, as in this case we are one of the support series of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, which almost automatically means our races will be run in front of tens of thousands spectators.

It is a fascinating feeling to be in the same paddock with the WTCC heroes. A minute ago Gabriele Tarquini passed the RCM Cup tent, while a second later James Thompson arrived carried by Zoltán Zengő on his scooter. Our tent is on the front of the paddock, so technically we are the one to greet the spectators first.

And the best of all is that we can be quite proud. Besides the two big factory teams, Citroen and Honda, and the enhanced Zengő Motorsport RCM Cup has the most spectacular and professional-looking base. As we said, we wanted to provide professional environment to our customers, but still we are a bit surprised how close we are to the world championship teams.

Naturally we are still humble, and it is still difficult to believe we are really here, part of one of the biggest Hungarian motorsport events. And this is only our second race weekend ever. The RCM Cup field started the weekend with two 30 minutes free practice session. There were minor changes in the field at Zsille Motorsport, Bálint Takács was substituted by Ákos Takáts (4th in 2012 Suzuki Cup), who immediately catapulted himself to the top 5.

The usual suspects made the show once again on Friday, both free practices was dominated by Gábor Tim, Dániel Nagy, Attila Tassi, Bálint Hatvani, and Ákos Takáts. FP1 was won by Tim in front of Nagy, Hatvani, Takáts and Tassi, while the order was Hatvani, Tim, Nagy, Tassi and Takáts on FP2.

The RCM Cup action continues tomorrow with the qualifying practice and the first race.
