One of the youngest and most highly-rated drivers of Hankook RCM Cup received an incredible offer; Attila Tassi could test a 450 HP Porsche 997 Cup racecar on the Hungaroring. The RCM Motorsport driver was assisted by his team boss László Csuti, and the owner of the car, Kálmán Bódis, who experienced several national and international success with his Porsche (and other GT cars).

The teenager Hungarian talent jumped into the highlight in the 2013 Suzuki Cup season. After a modest debut campaign he signed up with RCM Motorsport last year, and raised his performance incredibly. He scored his first ever victory after only seven races, and added two podium finishes to his tally to finish second in the overall behind team-mate Dániel Nagy.

He signed up for the inaugural RCM Cup season this year and managed to hold his ground in a significantly stronger field. Racing against the likes of Gábor Tim, Bálint Hatvani and Dániel Nagy he has finished twice on the podium so far and stands fourth in the championship with a chance to be in the overall top3 at the end of the season.

Tassi is working hard to be a RCM Cup champion as soon as possible, while his management is busy to prepare his next steps. It was not long ago that he could sample a SEAT León Supercopa car, and now he was entrusted an even stronger and more complex vehicle, a real GT Porsche.

“The management of Attila is working hard to pave his way after RCM Cup. At the moment they are weighting a few different opportunities. We wanted to see how prepared he is to drive such a strong and big car and he did not disappoint us.”

"Most importantly he showed a very humble attitude. This is the latest-but-one generation of the Porsche Cup cars, a real beast for such a young and relatively inexperienced driver, but he could handle it with notable precision” – said László Csuti, team boss of RCM Motorsport.

Attila drove the car of multiple Hungarian champion Kálmán Bódis, who was also there to give his advices to the young talent. He could drive 25 laps on the dry Hungaroring and bettered his times continually. Csuti and Bódis were both satisfied with his progress, just like Attila with the experience.

“I cannot really describe this feeling. This car is so much different from anything I have driven before. I am very grateful to everyone who helped organizing this test and I thing I gained invaluable experiences. I just loved it” – added Tassi.

Hopefully this was not the only opportunity for Tassi to drive the Porsche 997 as Csuti plans another session later this year.
