The Dutch contingent returns to the Hankook RCM Cup after a toe in the water season in 2014, although with a slightly reorganized lineup. Young Mika Morien will embody continuity, as the student of Tom Coronel entered two rounds last year, and returns in 2015. His father, who accompanied him, however, will watch his son from the pit wall this season, just like their friend and coach Niels Langeveld. Mika will be joined by Tijmen Heino, who in fact is also coached by Niels himself.

RCM Cup is a wonderful opportunity for 14-year old Mika Morien, as they do not allow kids to race so young in The Netherlands. The student of WTCC driver Tom Coronel is more focused on results now than last year, and he trained hard during the winter to come to the season opener in good shape.

“I did all I could to be in top form for the championship. I drove a Renault Clio racecar as much as I can in The Netherlands, and also did other sports to increase my physical fitness. The RCM Swift Racer is not an easy car to drive but I want to be in the top5 this year. As far as my long-term plans are concerned, I would like to follow Tom Coronel and race in the World Touring Car Championship once” – Morien said.

He will be joined by 17-year old compatriot Tijmen Heino, who could start his car racing career last season in The Netherlands. He entered the DRDO (Dutch Race Driver Organization) series where he finished third overall in the “Special” category.“I was driving a Suzuki Swift and my best result was P2. It was not easy to fight for victory as there was a BMW in the field too” – Heino said.

But how comes that he decided to race in Hungary as a Dutchman? Well, first of all he is coached by Niels Langeveld at home, how had some memorable fights in RCM Cup last year with the Hungarian frontrunners.

“It was Niels who advised me to come to Hungary as this is a very competitive series, where I can learn a lot about racing. I also came because at the moment there is no such one-make cup in Holland. I want to learn a lot about racing and setting up the car, and if everything looks good, I would like to go on and drive a Clio next year. In long-term I dream about being a factory driver at Mercedes or Audi or somewhere else, and do the 24 Hours of Le Mans.”

“I have two idols: one is Jeroen Bleekemolen who is capable of driving all kind of cars on the limit, and the other one is Niels, my coach. He is very fast, and outside the track he know a lot of data and setup which in necessary to become a good driver” – Heino concluded.

Both of the Dutchmen will driver for Zsille Motorsport in the 2015 RCM Cup season beginning this weekend on the Hungaroring.
