A perfect weekend was concluded by Niels Langeveld in Slovakia, the Zsille Motorsport drive won Race Two as well in the third round of the Hankook RCM Cup season. The fight for the overall also became a bit closer as Dániel Nagy (George Racing Team) finished second behind the Dutchman, while championship leader Gábor Tim (Apex Racing) crossed the line in P4, and missed the podium for the first time this season.

Langeveld started Race Two from eight due to the reverse grid rule and he engaged in fierce battle to take the lead in the dying seconds of the 30-minute plus one lap event. A great fight emerged behind him between Nagy, Tim and Gergő Báldi (B3 Racing) who overtook each other several times with the help of slipstreaming.

Eventually it was the rookie driver of B3 Racing who guaranteed some excitement in the standings after finishing third (he stood on the podium for the second time in 2015) and stealing some valuable points from Tim. Nevertheless there is no panic at the Apex squad as the defending champion still owns a health 20 points advantage over his closest rival.

Tassi Attila, the young gun of RCM Motorsport, also tried to get engaged in the tussle for the top positions, but he did not manage to get close to the podium this time. Norbert Nagy (RCM), who suffered from brake issues in Race One, could not match his expectations in P6, although he said he enjoyed the close racing. Mika Morien (Zsilla) lost no less than four positions compared to his place on the grid, and was beaten by Báldi among the rookies for the third time in a row. The young Dutchman still managed to save P4 in the overall being only one point adrift from the podium.

Slovakia was a bit of a torture for the other ex-simulator driver of B3 Racing; Bence Boldizs spun into the gravel trap in Race One, while in the second run his RCM Swift Racer was in flames after a mechanical issue.

All in all Dani Nagy shaved off three points of his deficit to Tim, which is not a huge step forward but clearly is a change in tendency as the title holder managed to increase his lead in the previous rounds. Tassi grabbed P3 in the overall but with a very slight margin. He has 72 points while Morien follows him with 71. Moreover Norbert Nagy and Gergő Báldi sit in P5 and P6 respectively with 70 points.

Anett György easily collected ten points in the Ladies Trophy without an opponent, but the fight in rookie cup is hotter than the Slovakian weather. With three victories in a row Báldi is now only five points adrift from Morien.
