Daniel Nagy managed to carry on his momentum from qualifying to race one and the driver of George Racing Team won the first race of the Pannóniaring Hankook RCM Cup round in a dominant manner. Nagy was successful in leaving his rivals behind after the start and eventually finished the race with almost 15 seconds advantage over his greatest opponent, Gábor Tim. The title holder fought his battle with Norbert Nagy for P2 which he managed to win a few laps before the chequered flag. This match could have an important role in the title fight as Tim managed to minimize his losses.

Behind them Attila Tassi crossed the finish line in P4, who tried to hold back Tim in the earlier part of the race with no avail. The youngster of RCM Motorsport was followed by former Suzuki-champion Zoltán Bárkovics (Zsille Motorsport), Bálint Hatvani (Zsille Motorsport), Bence Boldizs (B3 Racing) and Mika Morien (Zsille Motorsport).

It is well deserved to say a few words about the young talent from The Netherlands. Morien started race one from the last row after his qualifying lap time was deleted due to not respecting the track limits. The young student of WTCC-ace Tom Coronel however was not frightened by the challenge. He knew he had a better pace compared to the second part of the field, and he showed a stellar performance to come back as high as P8 at the flag. This means Morien will start race two from pole position. An outright victory might seem a bit difficult with experienced drivers around him, but a podium place is definitely possible for him.

A new winner was crowned in the Rookies Trophy on the Pannóniaring, as Bence Boldizs joined the likes of Mika Morien and Gergő Báldi. The latter two shared all victories so far among themselves, but finishing fifth Boldizs became the best of the newcomers this time.

The situation is very similar in the Ladies Trophy, where all victories so far have been taken by Anett György, however Veronika Vanyova managed to brake this streak on the Pannóniaring. One should mention that Anett had a spectacular shunt in one of the free practices but is still does not shrinks the merits of Vanyova.

With is victory Dániel Nagy cut five points off his deficit to Gábor Tim, and the Apex Racing driver now has a 15 points lead. However he will start race two in front of his rival which is an opportunity to restore the previous situation. It will not be easy as Tim is preceded on the grid by experienced drivers like Bárkovics and Hatvani, and hungry opponents like Morien and Boldizs.
