The 2015 Hankook RCM Cup season has been finished with an interesting weekend in Brno, where all the remaining question marks turned in dots. The fate of the overall podium places behind Dániel Nagy and of the teams’ championship has been sealed. Mathematically no less the four drivers had a chance to step into the overall top3 in the Czech Republic, although the most likely scenario was that the order remains unchanged. And eventually it happened so.

There were no surprises in the qualifying practice and in Race One, as Dani Nagy, the already crowned champion won both sessions. He finished first with half a second advantage over Bence Boldizs in the QP, and came home victorious in the first race leading Bálint Hatvani and Mika Morien. It was his sixth victory in 2015. The second and third place of the two Zsille Motorsport drivers had a huge impact on the teams’ championship later in the weekend.

By the way, the Dutch youngster sealed P2 in the overall, and Norbert Nagy also made a huge step towards finalizing the top3 despite finishing only seventh. And the RCM Motorsport driver finally seized P3 in Race Two after crossing the line in fifth position. The second run was won by Morien, who scored his third victory of the season, while Gergő Báldi finished second in front of Hatvani.

Guest driver Bálint Hatvani did a great service for his long-time team as his points helped Zsille Motorsport to snatch the Teams’ Trophy title from George Racing Team in the very last moment. Báldi also deserves great recognition after finishing fourth in the overall in his very first racing season ever (scoring three podium places).

The winner of Road to RCM program also made his debut in Brno, and Roland Pintér showed decent performance despite his limited preparation. He finished P8 in the qualifying and crossed the line in eighth and fifth position in race one and two respectively.

So Dániel Nagy became the 2015 champion leading Mika Morien and Norbert Nagy. Morien also took the Rookie of the Year title beating Gergő Báldi and Bence Boldizs, while Anett György was crowned the queen of the Ladies’ Trophy. The Team’s Championship was won by Zsille Motorsport in front of George Racing Team and RCM Motorsport.

The 2015 Hankook RCM Cup season was concluded in Brno, but preparations will soon start for next year. A few drivers are expected to leave for higher classes (Dániel Nagy and Attila Tassi) and the youngsters will be eager to step into their shoes.
