The cause of Hungarian track racing has always been important for stalwart Hungarian team boss Zoltán Zengő. From the period when he lead the circuit racing commission on the Hungarian Autosport Federation (MNASZ) and created a number of one-make series including the one based on the Suzuki Swift, until know when he steers his team towards the world championship title in WTCC.

The story of Zengő Motorsport with Norbert Michelisz is a real success, and I am more than convinced it is yet to reach its zenith. Although Norbi is on the top now, and he can stay there for many years, it would be a grave mistake to forget the next generation.

And Zoltan is not the one to commit such a mistake. The Zengő junior program has been launched last year under the Zengő Junior Team banner in the European Touring Car Cup, where two talented Hungarian youngsters - Ferenc Ficza and Norbert Nagy - were thrown into the deep with two SEAT Leon Supercopas in the SMT category. Next year the team moves on to the restarted SEAT Leon Eurocup with Ficza and a new driver - another Norbi - Norbert Tóth, who is only 15 at the moment.

However a +300 HP SEAT cannot be the first step for young talents, there should be opportunities on lower levels to start working with guys graduating from karting. And that is where RCM Cup comes into the picture with its brand new 1.5 liter, 125 HP RCM Swift Racer car.

“I am glad to see that RCM Cup upgraded the Swift with the 1.5 liter engine. That plus 10-15 HP will come handy next season. When I launched the Suzuki series in 2006 I also wanted to have the bigger engine, however it would have increased the costs significantly” - said Zoltán Zengő.

Zengő Motorsport is not only sympathizing with RCM Cup, it has serious plans with the championship.

“At the moment we are considering entering the championship with a few cars next season. We are looking for talented Hungarian drivers with subtle backing to involve them into our junior program. We want RCM Cup to be the foundation of this program, the championship where we can raise our future SEAT Cup and WTCC drivers” - concluded Zoltán.

RCM Cup can be the final missing piece in the junior program of Zengő Motorsport starting for karting, going through the RCM Cup, the SEAT León Eurocup right to the World Touring Car Championship.
