The entrants of the brand new RCM Cup will be presented a lifetime opportunity in 2014: the winner of the following season will have a chance to prove himself on international level and start the grueling 24 Hours of Dubai race with RCM Motorsport in a front-wheel drive car.

It is not by chance that the twice around the clock race in the Middle-East took its place amongst the highest ranked international endurance events. First of all, it is the traditional season opener in circuit racing, and as most championships are having their winter breaks, most of the fans concentrate on Dubai.

Second: there is a well-established and very open category system on the Arabic race enabling a huge variety of cars to participate. The top cars are that of the GT3 category, which are real monster machines, however a large number of front-wheel-drive vehicles are also there in the pack fighting for honor in their respective categories and trying to avoid an unwanted clash with the big guys. This year almost 80 cars entered for the desert race.

Well, the desert. The surrounding draws pros and gentleman drivers like magnet to Dubai. The once oil-country turned into a gigantic tourist paradise gives its best to show its most charming face to the guests. The spectacular destination is one of the many reasons why a huge percent of the drivers want to return to Dubai.

Still it would be an enormous mistake to think of the 24 Hours of Dubai as an event where chubby gentleman drivers are playing on the track with their multi-million dollar cars. The field is stronger by the years, this season a large number of international superstars were strolling in the Dubai paddock. Rob Huff, Gianmaria Bruni, Jan Magnussen, Bernd Schneider, Marc Basseng, Toni Vilander and Jeroen Bleekemolen just to mention a few of them. Due to the extreme heat and the quite long winter night period Dubai is considered to be one of the most challenging 24-hour races. Not to mention the great difference in car performance, resulting in spectacular traffic jams. For anyone taking racing seriously Dubai is a perfect benchmark.

The winner of the 2014 RCM Cup season will have the unique opportunity to enter this enormous race with RCM Motorsport as a prize. The largest Hungarian racing squad knows its way quite well around Dubai, team boss and RCM Cup founder László Csuti finished the race on numerous occasions, and the guys also know what it takes to be successful in the desert. All in all, it is an opportunity of a lifetime for the fresh RCM Cup champion to crown his season at this spectacular event.
